SOMETHING LIKE LOVE

حُبْ في شبهِ مدينة | Comme un amour | Something Like Love

A play written by Hasan Makhzoum, conceived and directed by Léna Osseyran. Performed by Riwa Houssami and Miran Malaeb, with live music and original composition by Ziad El Ahmadie. The first performances took place on December 17 and 18, 2025 at Masrah Al Madina, Beirut.

The project is a co-production of the Institut Français de Paris (2021) and AFAC – The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (2023), with the support of La Maison des Paroles et Expressions du Monde. It was developed within the RADIAN doctoral program (2021-2025) at Ésam, Caen, and co-produced by Léna Osseyran with the support of family, friends and believers in the project.

The play received wide media coverage from Asharq Al-Awsat, Al Mayadeen, Independent Arabia, and Adwa El Madina, among others.
